On 28 April St. Martin's new East Window was officially inaugurated in the presence of The Archbishop of Canterbury and Prince Charles. It can now be viewed during the opening hours of the church.

Jonathan Monk: Time Between Spaces

Jonathan Monk's major solo exhibition 'Time Between Spaces' will take place 'in stereo' at the Palais de Tokyo and the Musee d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris, ARC from 30 May to 24 August 2008. The works in this exhibition interrogate notions of time: historical, autobiographical but Monk also disrupts the normal durational viewing experience of an exhibition displaying some works in two parts and connecting the neighbouring museums.
To coincide with this exhibition, a limited edition artist's book 'The Complete Ilford Works will be published by Christopher Keller Editions / JRP Ringier

Ceal Floyer – Above-the-Fold

This three person exhibition brings together the work of Ceal Floyer, Ayse Erkmen and David Lamelas – artists whose work shares a reductive formal grammar. For this exhibition, Floyer will show a new work entitled 'Viewpoint', 2008 as well as adapting an existing work 'Door', 1995 to respond to and play with the architecture of the museum space.

Julian Opie: Recent Works

In this major solo exhibition, Julian Opie presents new work utilizing a wide range of media from painting and sculpture to animated works on lcd screens and large scale LED works. Opie has further developed and refined his formal language in his new portrait series and animated landscape works which are highly sophisticated and detailed. A new series of lcd works of Japanese landscapes subtly animate the timeless woodblock prints of Hiroshige and his highly detailed new portraits use the language of 18th century portraiture, inspired by the works of Reynolds and Gainsborough.
Published on the occasion of this exhibition is a book of Julian Opie's portraits from 2002 to 2008, with essays by Sandy Nairne and Timothy Clark.
The exhibition will tour to the Lisson Gallery from 15 October – 15 November 2008.

Stop, Repair, Prepare - variations on ode to joy for a prepared piano

Allora & Calzadilla will create a new work that explores the influence of Turkish music on western classical music with a particular look at the music of janissary bands, which is considered to be the oldest type of military marching band in the world.

Julian Opie - Walking on O'Connell Street

Julian Opie has a large installation of works in the centre of Dublin, as part of Dublin City Gallery The Hugh Lane centenary celebrations. The exhibition comprises four animated LED screens placed on the central median of O'Connell Street and one outside the gallery on Parnell Square. Curated by Barbara Dawson.
