Christine Borland
Artist Cv
Christine Borland explores the arena of medical practise as part of a broader interest in the systems and processes that shape our society. Through her sculptures, videos and installations she finds ways to cross the imaginary line dividing the body from the self, the specimen from the individual, the doctor from the patient, in an attempt to recuperate something of the essence of being human. She was nominated for the Turner Prize in 1997.
Christine Borland lives and works in Scotland
